Egypt hosts the 21st Congress of the Association of Power Utilities of Africa ( APUA )
- The Congress begins on 26 September and will last for a week, in cooperation with the African Development Bank, with the participation of 1,500 attendees, including electricity and energy ministers from APUA member countries.
- Discussions will cover the challenges of energy transition in African countries, energy sector reforms, governance, and the sustainability of African energy companies, as well as the future of the energy sector on the continent.
- It will also explore strengthening public-private partnerships and innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of energy utilities.
- Dr. Mahmoud Esmat: Supporting partnerships, cooperation, and exchange of expertise with our African brothers... Hosting the Congress affirms the trust and cements Egypt’s leading role in supporting the energy sector in Africa.
